Originally I did a Ph.D in distributed databases and then went to work for John Newton at Ingres in 1987. I was there until 1993 when I left and became the first employee in Documentum Europe where I held various technical and marketing roles. This was a great time as we worked closely with Geoffrey Moore to hone our skills on crossing the chasm. Documemtum grew to be the biggest content management company. I have been the CMO at Alfresco since 2005.
