You can avoid all the hassle of manually checking for updates by subscribing to our podcast feed. If you do this then your computer will automatically download new episodes of Open Source Talk as soon as we publish them.
For Windows and Mac users we recommend Apple’s iTunes for listening to podcasts. If you don’t already have it installed then you can download the latest version from the iTunes web site. You can then subscribe to Open Source Talk by clicking this link.
If you’re not running Windows XP or Mac OS X, or if you’d prefer a different player then the following are good alternatives.
- iPodder, which was the first podcast player and offers good cross-platform support
- For Linux users the Rhythmbox music player is included with most good distributions such as Ubuntu and Fedora
- For more options, the Podcasting News site has a comprehensive list of Podcast software
If you’re not using iTunes then you’ll need to paste in the URL http://blogs.alfresco.com/opentalk/feed/ into your podcast software - most players have a menu item or a wizard that allows you to add a new feed in this way, labelled Add Podcast Feed or something similar.
