Activiti Day Berlin: Community event follows DevCon

Alfresco, together with camunda, is organizing an Activiti Community event for the day after DevCon Berlin, which is 8 November. The event will take place at the DevCon host hotel, the Berlin Hilton, and will be an opportunity for the Activiti community to interact and discuss the future of the business process management engine. There will be presentations from customers, Activiti project members, and camunda.

The night before Activiti day, Alfresco and camunda are sponsoring an Activiti reception at a local pub. We want to invite the entire Activiti community and any interested DevCon attendees to come have a drink with us, socialize, and then wake up the next day ready to enjoy a full day talking about Activiti.

The agenda is still in draft form, but so far it looks like this:

09:30 – 10:15 Activiti Introduction: Tom Baeyens (Activiti Project Lead)
10:15 – 11:15 camunda fox Introduction (Java EE 6, Activiti and BPMN roundtrip): Daniel Meyer (Activiti CDI Lead, camunda fox Architect)
11:30– 12:00 Current State and Roadmap: Robert Gimbel (Product Owner camunda fox)
12:00 – 12:45 Tales from the Core Developers Labs: Frederik Heremans, Joram Barrez, Tijs Rademakers (Activiti Core Developers)
12:45– 13:45 Lunch Break
13:45– 14:45 Customer Case Studies: TBD
15:00– 16:15 BOF (Birds of a feather)
16:30– 17:00 Summary BOF and Closing

After the event I’m sure that many people will continue the discussion at a nearby pub.

If you are already in town for DevCon, why not stay an extra night and soak up some Activiti goodness?

The event is free to attend and lunch will be provided. If you plan to attend, please sign up here so that we can plan appropriately.
