Contractual SLA’s

A common myth spread by proprietary vendors is that open source has no support and is dependent on forums with no Service Level Agreement. This is incorrect. Alfresco supports some of the most demanding environments in the world from Wall Street to mission critical websites such as Activision.com.

The Alfresco Enterprise subscription offers enterprise support to enterprise customers from dedicated Alfresco employees. A number of contractual Service Level Agreement (SLA’s) are available to satisfy each customer’s requirements and price point. Some of the service offered to Alfresco Enterprise subscription customers includes:

  • Dedicated Support Team only available to Enterprise Customers
  • Call tracking and bug prioritization
  • Issue resolution and service packs
  • Patch distribution (with back porting)
  • Access to an online Support Portal
  • Access to Alfresco Enterprise Edition
  • Access to all major, minor and service pack releases
  • Upgrade support
  • Indemnity and Warranty

Distributed support centers based in Australia, the UK and the US provide ‘follow the sun’ support for global customs. In fact, customer feedback tells us that the Open Source support service provided by Alfresco continually outperforms the services provided by other traditional vendors.

Bottom Line: Moving to a more cost effective Open Source content management solution does not mean accepting low quality support. The Alfresco Enterprise subscription offers the commercial SLA’s you need for mission critical systems.

Thanks Sannour for pointing that out.
